Job Overview:


The leader's objective will be to build a world-class Sourcing/ Supply Chain COE (Center of Excellence) team in Bangalore. Key responsibilities would include Utilizing, and deploying, Lean Six Sigma techniques, you will drive improvement activities, and achievement of superior performance across all Supply Planning KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Boots on the ground type of individual (very hands-on) accustomed to an entrepreneurial “fast-paced” environment is required.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  1. Sound understanding of Supply Planning, Demand Planning, MRP, Fulfilment & Logistics.
  2. The position is responsible for managing the supply chain team across all SCM verticals.
  3. Defining the Vision & Driving Strategy for Network Supply Planning and execution, specifically focused on S&OP, Master planning, scheduling, and fundamental materials management.
  4. Build and deploy the enterprise planning models for our various BUs utilizing the best available technology and analytical methods.
  5. Driving the Planning Transformation initiative and deployment of our client's Supply Chain Transformation.
  6. Build and deploy automated reporting & action-oriented alerts to facilitate planner’s daily work.
  7. Driving and establishing a culture of continuous improvement and process excellence; specifically, “push” vs “pull” planning processes and methods along with and demand pattern segmentation analytics.
  8. Build a network of highly skilled and talented professionals for progression.
  9. Setting Policies around Service Level Strategies with the Business, gaining commercial and financial alignment, including integration within the Free Cash Flow financial plans.
  10. Actively manage relationships with regional distribution center & planning team - 40% travel (25% domestic & 15% rest of the world)
  11. Monitor supply and demand imbalances and communication/escalate.
  12. Detailed involvement in transition execution, PFEP, & SKU Rationalization
  13. Define commodity strategies for assigned spend considering any global sourcing strategies and tailoring them to fit the local business requirements.


Essential Requirements:

  1. Min 20+ years of experience in Supply, Production Planning, Materials Management, or other Sales Inventory & Operations planning-related functional area.
  2. Deep expertise with an ERP/MRP system (we use JDE) and Lean materials planning and flow.
  3. The candidate must be from a manufacturing environment preferably from the automobile industry.
  4. Responsible for Asia supply chain and willing to travel as required.
