Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Production Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production processes, ensuring that our products are manufactured efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a deep understanding of production techniques, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day production operations to ensure smooth workflow and optimal productivity.
- Develop, implement, and optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with the product development team to ensure the manufacturability of new products and provide feedback during the design phase.
- Monitor production metrics and KPIs, analyze data to identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead root cause analysis for production issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production performance.
- Establish and enforce robust quality control measures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Train and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and components for production.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience of 3+ years in a production engineering role, with a track record of optimizing production processes and driving efficiency improvements.
- Strong knowledge of production techniques, quality control principles, and lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Experience with advanced production technologies, including automation, robotics, and digital manufacturing tools.
- Proficiency in production planning software and tools for monitoring and optimizing production performance.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment and adapt to changing priorities and challenges.
