Role Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up and improving our Battery Production Lines. You will work closely with the Product Design Team and the Production Team, to ensure a seamless handover. You would also be responsible for suggesting and implementing design improvements to ensure and improve manufacturability of the product. The Software Strong technical and stakeholder management skills are a must.


Role Description and Key Responsibilities

The role involves tasks including but not limited to -

  • Take inputs from the product team and prepare a line layout
  • Prepare equipment and machinery list for each workstation
  • Perform Time studies for each station in the assembly line
  • Remove bottlenecks and create a balanced line
  • Design new fixtures, jigs and processes with the Product team to improve quality and efficiency
  • Evaluate new and existing processes, equipment, and materials as an input for scheduling methods, performance metrics, and financial standards
  • Design and develop robust manufacturing concepts to simplify and improve processes and ensure best practices
  • Work with the QC team to establish and improve Inbound, In-Line and EoL Quality Processes


Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  • 3+ years experience in Manufacturing Engineering, setting and ramping up production lines


Desired Skills and Attributes

  • Experience in conducting Design for Manufacturing and Assembly(DFMA) analysis
  • Experience in conducting Cycle Time Analysis and Line Balancing
  • Experience in setting up QA processes
  • Experience in tracking and improving QA metrics
  • Experience in equipment selection, calibration and maintenance processes
