Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams are responsible for ensuring the processes are running at optimum levels for quality and output. As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will be an expert in mold tooling, die tooling, machining, and assembly techniques, with extensive knowledge of the associated manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability
  • Oversee new process equipment production
  • Establish robust, repeatable, and reproducible process conditions through scientific molding for new products
  • Troubleshoot molding processes and material or equipment issues
  • Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and Regrinding process improvements
  • Evaluate and select various engineered materials
  • Evaluate tooling for areas of concern, and areas of improvement for quality and efficiency, and recommend improvements to optimize molding, set up, and overall manufacturing
  • Improve manufacturing techniques and throughput
  • Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in-house capabilities
  • Review processing methods & designs for new projects
  • Leadership role in continuous improvement and cost reduction activities
  • Root cause identification and problem-solving using problem-solving tools such as 8D, DOE, SPC etc.
  • Ensuring plant efficiency & plant recovery targets.
  • Ensuring accident-free work conditions
  • Ensuring and promoting good industrial relationships across the unit.
  • Deployment & ensuring adherence to all Quality Management Targets in line with corporate and unit-level targets.
  • Closely coordinating with other departments like SCM, PE, QA, HR, MT, and TT to ensure the smooth running of all production-related activities.
Requirements
  • Experience in injection molding Process and trouble shooting.
  • Hands-on experience to document and deploying quality management systems.
  • Capable of Handling Multiple Projects simultaneously.
  • Good Conceptual, problem-solving and Analytical Skills.
  • Experience in PFC and PFMEA & PPAP documentation.
  • Self-Motivated, Adaptive, Passionate about results and a Good Team Player
  • Strong Technical Aptitude with Willingness to explore & learn new Technologies for Molding process.
  • Aware of Scientific molding approach.
  • Demonstrated Experience of working in a fast-paced and changing environment with tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of six sigma & Other tools will be an added advantage.
  • Willingness to Travel for project requirements as required.
Qualifications
  • B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical engineering or PG in Plastic Processing and Testing
  • 6+ years of hands experience in Plastic processing.
