Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Developer with expertise in CICS and COBOL to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in mainframe development, along with a solid understanding of core mainframe technologies. Experience in DB2 and support is considered a plus.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain mainframe applications using CICS, COBOL, DB2, VSAM and JCL.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, design solutions, and implement enhancements to existing applications.
  • Perform code reviews, debugging, and unit testing to ensure the quality and reliability of the developed software.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to mainframe applications in a timely manner.
  • Document technical specifications, user manuals, and release notes for developed applications.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in mainframe development, with a strong focus on CICS, COBOL, JCL, DB2 and VSAM.
  • Proficient in coding, debugging, and testing mainframe applications.
  • Solid understanding of mainframe architecture and core technologies.
  • Familiarity with mainframe support processes and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
