Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manager - Procurement to lead and optimize procurement operations for our EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) business vertical.

The role demands expertise in sourcing, vendor development, contract negotiation, inventory management, and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services for solar energy projects, aligning with project timelines and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with EPC project requirements and timelines.

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors and subcontractors; maintain robust vendor databases and long-term supplier partnerships.

- Lead contract negotiations, cost optimization, and procurement of key materials such as solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, and BOS components.

- Ensure procurement compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

- Monitor and manage inventory levels, lead times, and material logistics to prevent project delays and cost overruns.

- Coordinate closely with engineering, project execution, logistics, and finance teams to ensure integrated supply chain performance.

- Prepare and maintain procurement documentation, reports, and performance dashboards for internal review and audits.

- Evaluate vendor performance through KPIs such as quality, delivery, pricing, and service levels.

- Stay updated on industry trends, price movements, and supply chain risks in the renewable energy sector.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

- MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.

- 7-12 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the EPC, renewable energy, infrastructure, or power sector.

- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, vendor management, inventory control, and contract law.

- Experience with ERP systems and procurement management tools.

- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

- Proven ability to manage multiple procurement activities under tight deadlines.

- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.

Preferred Attributes

- Experience working in solar EPC or renewable energy domains.

- Familiarity with sourcing international vendors and handling import logistics (e., modules/inverters).

- Certification in supply chain management (e., CSCP, CPM, or equivalent) is an advantage and government clients, offering end-to-end solutions tailored to their unique energy needs.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Manager Procurement EPC Business located in Ahmedabad.

The Manager Procurement EPC Business will be responsible for overseeing procurement processes, managing inventory, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining strong supplier and customer relationships.

Daily tasks include analyzing supply chain data, developing procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and coordinating with various departments to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.
