Google Cloud Engineer

Google Cloud Engineer to manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure, enhance security, identify vulnerabilities in code, and support release management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, cloud security best practices, and DevOps :- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).- Optimize compute, storage, and networking resources for performance and cost efficiency.- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in a scalable cloud environment.- Implement cloud security best practices, ensuring identity & access management (IAM) policies are in place.- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in the cloud infrastructure and application code.- Ensure compliance with industry security standards (e. g., ISO, SOC2 HIPAA).- Perform static and dynamic code analysis to identify security vulnerabilities.- Collaborate with development teams to fix security flaws in applications and infrastructure code (IaC).- Automate security checks using CI/CD pipelines and integrate DevSecOps principles.- Manage release cycles, deployments, and rollbacks in a cloud-native environment.- Support CI/CD pipeline automation using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Google Cloud Build.- Work closely with developers and QA teams to ensure smooth deployment of applications.Requirements :- 4- 5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or DevOps Engineer, preferably with GCP.- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud services (e. g., Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Cloud Functions, Kubernetes Engine).- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Google Deployment Manager.- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Go) for automation.- Experience with security tools like Google Security Command Center, SonarQube, or Snyk- Understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker & Kubernetes (GKE).- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and release management processes.- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced DevOps environment.
