Job Requirement:

  • Minimum 15-20 years' experience in Design & Development Engineering leadership roles in Transformer or Instrument Transformer or Bushings or Switchgear Industry with Bachelors or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering

Preferred Background or Company/Industry Preference:

  • Professionals from Power - Distribution Transformers / Bushings / Instrument Transformers / Switchgear Manufacturing Industries..
  • Experience in new product design , engineering , development, and technical leadership is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technology Strategy & Product Development

  • • Develop and implement processes, systems, and policies for product design, development, application engineering, and technical services.

  • • Evaluate departmental effectiveness and initiate course corrections as needed.

  • • Collaborate with Business Development, Operations, and other functions to drive product innovation and improvements.

  • • Define protocols for new product development, process changes, and enhancements for operational and application efficiency.

  • • Establish systems for timely and cost-effective inputs to Operations and Quality teams.

  • • Guide creation of product standards and modifications to improve market share and meet customer expectations.
  1. Technology Leadership & Operational Excellence

  • • Monitor adherence to product development and quality standards.

  • • Promote innovation in existing and new products aligned with business goals.

  • • Ensure timely and efficient delivery of product outputs for market readiness.

  • • Review product portfolio adequacy in collaboration with BD and execution teams.

  • • Lead performance improvement and new technology adoption initiatives.

  • • Benchmark products against national & international competitors on cost, performance, product features , specialities and production efficiency.

  • • Build and enforce quality control and assurance systems an structured failure investigations and policies.

  • • Support marketing with technical presentations and joint participation in customer meetings

  • • Create mechanisms for feedback integration from customers and internal stakeholders.

  • • Develop knowledge management systems for capturing technical learnings.

  • • Manage team and project budgets for optimal resource utilization.

  • • Support R&D at group level through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  1. Team Development ,People Management & Leadership

  • • Work with HR to acquire technically competent manpower.

  • • Set high-performance standards and track team deliverables.

  • • Foster a culture of learning, sharing, and continuous improvement.

  • • Provide ongoing feedback and direction based on internal & external customer needs and internal needs.

  • • Promote team collaboration to achieve strategic and operational goals.
