Justwords is looking for a senior content editor to join us at our office in Gurgaon. You will join our talented team of content editors and writers that is renowned in the industry for quality and dependability. You will have the privilege of working with multiple top brands across India and the globe, learn from the best in the industry and work in a dynamic agency environment. We are expanding our team and are looking for a dedicated Senior Editor to join us. The selected candidate will be pivotal in maintaining exceptional quality and providing a seamless experience for our clients.

WE are looking for an extremely Senior Editor with an ability to handle technology, features and finance.  


Exp – 3- 6 yrs experience

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE -


- Kickass & Swift Editing - This will be a major part of the job. When we mean editing, it means owning the copy, understanding what it means, whether at all it makes sense, whether the structure makes sense, whether the language shines through. Proofreading, deep editing, restructuring, polishing, ensuring SEO optimisation, all are part of the job brief. Quality and Time both matter.


When we mean editing we also mean that you


- Enhance clarity and coherence of a content piece: Edit content to remove redundancies, ambiguities, and inconsistencies, ensuring each piece is clear and easy to understand.


- Ensure factual consistency: Verify facts, figures, and data within articles to maintain accuracy and reliability across all content.


- Refine diction and syntax: Improve word choice and sentence structure to maintain a consistent tone and style, ensuring that all content is clear, concise, and impactful.


- Streamline content: Remove empty, redundant, or irrelevant phrases and sentences, restructuring paragraphs to enhance cohesion and readability.


- Optimize content flow: Ensure smooth transitions between paragraphs and sections, maintaining a logical flow of ideas throughout the content.


- Tailor content to the audience: Ensure that content is relevant to the target audience and addresses their key concerns, questions, and interests.


- Conduct in-depth research: Review and incorporate accurate, credible information, refining content to highlight key insights and takeaways.


- Improve content structure: Ensure all content is logically arranged, well-structured, and aligned with the intended message and goals.


- Collaborate for refinement: Work closely with writers to refine drafts, ensuring that final content is polished, publication-ready, and aligned with editorial standards.


- TALK TO CLIENTS to understand the brief, and coordinating with the team of editors and writers to get the right outcome expected by the client.



EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR -



-      Must have atleast 3-4 plus years of deep editing experience. This means you MUST have worked an editor and know the process of fine craft of editing and writing. SHOULD HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE IN MANAGING A TEAM.


- Should have the capability to deal with a variety of domains, esp FEATURES, INSURANCE, SAAS, EDUCATION, etc


- Should have a basic understanding about how keywords have a role to play in content and how SEO and content interplay with each other to help the copy rank.


-      Should be able to write when needed.


-      Should have the speed and understanding and flexibility to work in an agency.
