Job Title - Director Engineering Job Location - Koregaon Park, Pune (Onsite) Budget - INR 40 to 50 lacs p.a.The Challenge We Are Solving An increase in programmatic sales and the dominance of duopoly (Google and Facebook) is creating challenges for publishers to build revenue from their inventory. These publishers differentiate themselves by using exciting and engaging ad formats and selling directly to advertisers. We enable such publishers to sell innovative ad formats to advertisers and improve their revenue. Our advanced design tool and ad formats enable designers to create engaging ads while optimizing the speed at which they can produce these designs. On the brand side, the e-commerce space continues to evolve, and every e-commerce brand is looking to create demand. This demand creation is challenging as they must reach out to potential customers via multiple channels (Meta, Insta, TikTok, Snapchat and others). The challenge of building a digital creative that scales across these channels is an interesting one to solve. This enables us to think globally and build something incredible for our customers.The Role We seek a talented and experienced Director of Engineering to join our global team based out of our HQ in Pune. In this role, you will lead a team of skilled engineers and help shape the technical direction of our software products. You will work closely with product management, design, and other stakeholders to ensure our solutions align with business objectives and customer needs.Responsibilities Lead, manage, and mentor a team of software engineers, ensuring efficient and high-quality product development. Collaborate with the executive team to develop the company's technical vision and strategy. Work closely with product management, design, and other teams to translate business requirements into actionable engineering plans. Oversee software development processes, ensuring adherence to best practices and continuous improvement of processes and tools. Drive the adoption of new technologies and engineering methodologies. Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of software products. Monitor and report on the teams performance, taking action to address any issues or concerns. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the engineering team.What you need to succeed Minimum of 10-15 yearsof experience in software development, with at least three years in a leadership role. Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing engineering teams. Strong understanding of software development methodologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, customers and external vendors. Hands-on experience with web development technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks. Familiarity with backend technologies, such as Spring Boot, Java, Kotlin, Node.js and Python. Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results and meeting customer needs. Saas experience (SMB Saas).Nice-to-Haves Experience working in a startup environment. Familiarity with the digital marketing, advertising or ad-tech industry.
