Mainframe Developer

Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.- Perform analysis, coding, testing, and debugging of complex applications.- Develop and optimize stored procedures, triggers, and queries in DB2 and Oracle PL/SQL.- Work on batch and online programs, ensuring efficiency and scalability.- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to maintain high system availability.- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and system optimization activities.- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test cases, and user guides.- Ensure compliance with SDLC processes, coding standards, and quality assurance Skills & Experience : - Hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, and DB2 development.- Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and batch processing.- Experience in Oracle PL/SQL for database programming (preferred).- Knowledge of performance tuning and debugging tools in mainframe systems.- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.- Excellent written and verbal communication Qualifications : - 37 years of relevant experience in Mainframe development.- Exposure to Agile/DevOps methodologies.- Familiarity with version control systems and modern CI/CD tools.
