Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications at the company.
  • Collaborate with teams in other departments to identify and prioritize requirements.
  • Develop best practices for the company and participate in code reviews with the team and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct technical analysis to arrive at solutions and create technological artifacts in response to production issues.
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java and related technologies
  • Implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture using Spring Boot framework
  • Integrate backend systems with MongoDB and other data storage solutions
  • Develop and optimize database queries and data access layers for performance and scalability
  • Implement security measures to protect data and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend functionality with user interfaces
  • Write unit tests and conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, and provide timely resolutions
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in backend development and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills:

  • 5-10 years of professional experience in software development
  • Proficiency in Java programming language
  • Experience with Spring Boot framework for building RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Strong understanding of MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other Java frameworks such as Spring Framework, Hibernate, etc.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Familiarity with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Certification in Java or related technologies

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
