Through Avener Green, our focus is on owning, developing, and operating high-performance RE assets as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) that drives environmental impact and long-term value creation.We are looking for a BD & Regulatory candidate at Avener Green, and the work location will be Seawoods, Navi Mumbai. Job Description :Strategic Leadership- Develop and execute the business development strategy for Utility & C&I projects in renewable energy (Solar, Wind, BESS, hybrid).- Identify new markets, business models, and revenue streams to achieve growth targets.- Should possess strong experience in Sales and Revenue Collection,- Solid understanding of regulatory and approval processes.- Should be capable of arranging C&I consumers and facilitating PPA signings and be able to participate in utility tenders and reverse bidding.- A comprehensive understanding of project costing, financial modelling, and overall commercial strategy is essential.Business Development & Sales- Originate, negotiate, and close high-value C&I renewable projects (as an IPP).- Generate a strong pipeline of opportunities through direct client engagement and strategic partnerships.- Lead RFP/RFQ responses, prepare techno-commercial proposals, and manage bid submissions.- Drive long-term PPAs, lease agreements, and other commercial arrangements with corporate clients.Stakeholder Management- Build strong relationships with CXO-level clients in manufacturing, IT parks, commercial real estate, and industrial clusters.- Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Finance, Legal, Project Execution) to ensure smooth deal closure and delivery.- Represent the organization in industry forums, exhibitions, and policy discussions.Team Leadership- Build, mentor, and lead the BD team across regions to achieve business goals.- Set KPIs, monitor performance, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.Financial & Market Intelligence- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments in renewable energy.- Provide management with regular reports on pipeline, forecasts, and performance metrics.- Ensure deals are structured to maximise profitability and sustainability.Key Requirements:Education: MBA/PGDM (Sales/Marketing/Finance) or engineering degree with business background.Experience: 10+ years in Business Development, with at least 3-5 years in C&I renewable energy (solar/wind/green energy projects).- Proven track record in originating and closing large C&I renewable projects (MW-scale).- Strong understanding of CAPEX/OPEX models, open access, captive structures, and regulatory frameworks.- Strong financial acumen with the ability to structure commercial models and PPAs.- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.- Ability to lead teams, work cross-functionally, and deliver under deadlines (ref:iimjobs.com)
