About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. This role involves supporting mission-critical environments, resolving complex network issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support evolving business needs.

The Senior Network Engineer will also play a key role in network capacity planning, performance tuning, and introducing automation and modern practices to streamline & Certifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Associate Degree or Diploma in Network Administration is required.

- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent industry-standard certifications are mandatory.

- Certifications in network security, cloud networking, or automation tools are a plus (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, AWS, Azure, Experience :

- Minimum 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer in a mid to large-scale enterprise environment.

- Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing complex network Skills :

1. Deep understanding of core networking concepts and protocols including :

- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, STP, NAT, ACLs

2. Routing protocols :

- OSPF, BGP, EIGRP

3. WAN technologies :

- MPLS, VPN, SD-WAN

4. Configuration and management of network devices, including :

- Cisco and/or Juniper routers and switches

- Firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA)

- Load balancers (e.g., F5, Citrix NetScaler)

- Wireless access points and controllers

5. Proficient with network monitoring and management tools, such as :

- Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG

6. Experience in troubleshooting complex network performance and connectivity issues.

7. Working knowledge of network security best practices, such as :

- Firewall policies, intrusion prevention, access controls, VPNs

8. Familiarity with virtualization and cloud networking :

- VMware NSX, AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Networks

9. Understanding of network automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Python, Terraform) is advantageous and highly encouraged for future & Tool-Based Skills :

1. Hands-on experience using :

- Packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)

- Monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix)

- Tracing and diagnostics tools for performance and root-cause analysis

2. Experience with ticketing and ITSM tools such as :

- JIRA, ServiceNow, or other customer support Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage robust network solutions to support business operations and growth.

- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.

- Proactively perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.

- Provide Tier 2/3 support and resolve issues escalated from lower tiers.

- Participate in the planning and execution of network migrations, upgrades, and rollouts.

- Collaborate with security teams to ensure proper implementation of firewalls, VPNs, and other network security mechanisms.

- Document network configurations, topology diagrams, procedures, and policies.

- Lead efforts in network capacity planning, performance tuning, and forecasting.

- Assist in disaster recovery planning and network redundancy initiatives.

- Support audit and compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to industry standards and policies.

- Keep up to date with emerging technologies, and make recommendations for future upgrades and improvements.
