You’ll play a key role in architecting reliable, high-performance solutions and mentoring a small but growing backend team. If you’re hands-on, passionate about technology, and thrive in a fast-moving startup environment — this role is for you. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentora team of backend engineers, ensuring code quality, efficiency, and alignment with best practices. Architect, design, and implementscalable backend systems usingTypeScriptandNode.js . Drive system design discussions, enforcedesign patterns , and establish coding standards. ManagePostgreSQLdatabases — including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning. Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Participate in code reviews, system architecture discussions, and sprint planning. Ensure robust testing and observability practices (unit, integration, and monitoring). Lead by example — remain hands-on with code, especially for complex or high-impact features. Required Skills & Qualifications4+ years of professional backend development experience, with at least 1–2 years in atechnical lead or senior developercapacity. Strong expertise inTypeScriptandNode.js . Solid understanding ofPostgreSQL , relational database design, and query optimization. Strong grasp ofsoftware design principles and patterns (SOLID, Clean Architecture, etc.) . Proven experience building and maintainingRESTful APIsand distributed systems. Ability tomentor junior engineers , conduct code reviews, and uphold engineering excellence. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Good to HaveWorking knowledge ofGo (Golang) . Experience working in astartup environmentor scaling systems from scratch. Exposure toRedis ,Kafka , ormessage-driven architectures .
