Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly experienced Storage Migration Specialist with strong expertise in SAN storage technologies and cloud migration. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with at least two major storage platforms such as NetApp, EMC, Veritas, Hitachi, or IBM, and be proficient in designing and executing block-level storage migrations from on-premises to public cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and optimize storage solutions with a focus on automation and scalability.
- Lead the migration of enterprise workloads from on-prem to cloud using SAN storage block-level migration technologies (LUNs, Fibre Channel, etc.).
- Execute multiple Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for large-scale storage migrations.
- Implement and support storage migration strategies using both commercial and open-source technologies.
- Perform re-platforming migrations (e.g., Commercial to Open Source, On-Prem to Public Cloud).
- Design and troubleshoot interrupt handling scenarios related to LUNs and SAN connectivity.
- Ensure minimal downtime and data integrity during migration processes.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in storage solution development, design, and optimization.
- Experience with at least two major storage vendors : NetApp, EMC, Veritas, Hitachi, IBM.
- Deep expertise in SAN technology, including LUN/Block-level operations and data centre fibre infrastructure.
- Proven experience in storage-based migrations (not host-based) across hybrid and cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with Storage Virtualization, Deduplication, Business Continuance Volumes (BCV), and Remote Copy (RC).
- Understanding of synchronous and asynchronous replication techniques.
- Proficiency with open-source storage platforms for cloud migration use cases.
- Demonstrated ability in handling complex cloud-to-cloud and on-prem to cloud storage migrations.
