With a world-class team of scientists and drug developers, Helex operates from ASPIRE BioNEST, Hyderabad, India, and New York, USA, and is supported by Bayer Co.Lab Cambridge.Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactiveAccounts & Procurement Executiveto manage financial operations, compliance, and procurement processes. The role involves maintaining accurate books of accounts, ensuring timely statutory filings, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams to support smooth day-to-day operations.The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, experience withZoho Books , and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.Key Responsibilities Accounting & Compliance Record daily accounting transactions inZoho Booksand ensure accuracy in ledgers and financial records. Performbank reconciliations , monitor cash flow, and assist with fund utilization tracking. Managepayroll processingand ensure compliance with statutory requirements (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, GST). Prepare and filemonthly, quarterly, and annual returnson time. Generate and analyzeP&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements . Support internal and externalauditswith reconciliations, schedules, and documentation. Maintainproject-wise budgetsand provide monthly variance analysis and expense reports. Prepare and presentmonthly MIS reports , supporting overall business reporting to the COO, CBO, and investors. Procurement & Vendor Management Create and managePurchase Orders (POs) , track quotations, and ensure timely delivery. Verify and process vendor invoices against POs and goods received. Maintain organized vendor records and ensure timely payment follow-ups. Coordinate with internal teams to plan and manage inventory and consumable requirements. Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inCommerce, Accounting, or Finance . 2–4 yearsof relevant experience in accounting, finance operations, or procurement. Hands-on experience withZoho BooksandMS Excel(advanced formulas, pivot tables). Sound knowledge ofGST, TDS, PF, ESI , and related statutory compliance. Experience withproject-wise cost trackingor budgeting tools is preferred. Excellent communication and coordination skills, with attention to detail.
