1. Project Manager

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Job Summary: The Project Manager is the single point of ownership for the entire smart meter installation project. This individual is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and successful completion of the project, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. They will serve as the primary interface with senior management at GMR and will be responsible for managing all project resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the end-to-end project plan, including scope, timelines, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client (GMR), managing the relationship, providing regular progress reports, and handling all escalations.
  • Oversee and direct the Circle Heads, ensuring that regional targets and project milestones are met.
  • Implement and manage project controls, including budget tracking, schedule monitoring, and risk management.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are understood and met by the entire project team.
  • Provide regular, high-level project status reports to the COO and other executive leadership.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred). An MBA or PMP certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience:7+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-crore infrastructure projects, preferably in the Power, Utility, or Telecom sectors.
  • Skills:
  • Expert-level knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Exceptional client management and communication skills.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in project budgeting and cost control.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
