Position Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Subject Matter Expert (SME) to develop high-quality instructional content for an Intuit Personal Finance certification course. The SME will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team to create engaging, accurate, and standards-aligned learning materials

This role will involve crafting clear, standards-aligned assessment materials that help students master key personal finance concepts and succeed on the certification exam.

Key Responsibilities

1. Subject Matter Expertise:

○ Write clear, accurate, and engaging lesson content aligned to industry standards and learning objectives.

○ Ensure content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with the certification's objectives.

2. Instructional Design and Development:

○ Write and design engaging course materials that translate technical concepts into accessible language for learners.

○ Incorporate examples, activities, and checks for understanding.

○ Develop lessons in the client's learning management platform.

3. Collaboration and Feedback:

○ Collaborate with other instructional designers, the client's educators, and stakeholders to ensure the course is relevant and impactful.

○ Revise content based on feedback from the team.

○ Work as a productive team member of a part of the global, cross-functional team.

Qualifications

Required:

● Familiarity with financial literacy standards and the Intuit Personal Finance Certification framework.

● Experience in technical writing or curriculum development.

● Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely for educational purposes.

● Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

● Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g. Finance, Economics, Education, Accounting).

● Certification in Personal Finance Education (e.g., Certified Personal Finance Educator, CFP, Intuit Personal Finance Certification).

Preferred:

● Experience working within the K-12 education sector, particularly in curriculum design and development, or content review.

● Prior experience working with CTE (Career and Technical Education) or business education programs.
