Role Summary

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production processes, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing operations. This role involves managing production teams, optimizing resource utilization, maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities


Production Planning and Execution:

• Develop and implement production plans to meet business objectives, including cost, volume, and quality targets.

• Ensure efficient allocation of resources, including manpower, machinery, and materials.

• Monitor and control production schedules to minimize downtime and achieve on-time delivery.


Quality Assurance:

• Establish and enforce quality control standards to ensure products meet specifications and customer expectations.

• Investigate and address quality issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with industry and company standards.


Safety and Compliance:

• Promote and maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations.

• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, addressing hazards promptly.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental and regulatory requirements.


Operational Efficiency and Cost Management:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust operations to optimize efficiency.

• Manage budgets effectively, ensuring cost control while maintaining high production standards.


Equipment and Facility Maintenance:

• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure machinery and equipment are in optimal working condition.

• Plan and oversee preventive maintenance schedules to minimize unplanned downtime.


Continuous Improvement:

• Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across production processes.

• Introduce innovative practices and technologies to enhance operational excellence.


Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare and present production reports, including efficiency, quality, and cost metrics.

• Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory levels, and resource utilization.



Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced certification in manufacturing management is a plus.

• Experience: 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.

• Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Expertise in manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Solid understanding of safety, quality, and compliance standards.

• Proficiency in ERP systems and production management tools.

• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
