Product Owner – Energy Domain

Location: Pune (Hybrid)



About the role: The Product Owner drives revenue and customer success for a specific product or product family. Primarily, managing roadmap aligned sprint and release content and delivery, the role plays a proactive role in product planning and design to ensure the product is differentiated from competitors.

The Product Owner is also very closely involved with the product throughout all stages of the life cycle (conception, definition, development, release, and post release activities) and drives product strategy, product planning and marketing execution as a key member of the Global Product Management team.


Key Responsibilities:

• Take on the role of SCRUM Product Owner, guiding Engineering teams in building and releasing new capabilities and features

• Work closely with Product Team(s): Product Owners, Technical Leads, Architects, UX Designers and Development staff to design and build outstanding products that our customers love.

• Work with other Product Owners, Product Marketing, Sales and Customer Success teams to respond to customer situations and assess enhancement requests and requirements against business needs and long-term priorities

• Work with the Engineering Team for building PLEXOS Engine and Orchestration Platform.

• Maintain close relationships with stakeholders for awareness of customers' needs and perspectives

• Determine product objectives and release plans involving internal/external customers

• Take part in developing product plans, release schedules, and integrated solutions for Energy Exemplar software products

• Be involved in designing demos, help with training courses and other related issues • Contribute to strategy and process discussions

• Provide work assistance to other team members


Experience and Essential Skills:

• Experience in Energy domain is a must

• Knowledge/experience as a SCRUM Product Owner or similar Agile Product/Project Management role

• Good understanding of Power/Natural Gas Economics, Power Systems, Gas supply chain, Operation research/Optimization techniques, statistics, and Energy (Power &/ Gas) Markets/Industry

• A background in energy modelling or operations research is preferred.

• Knowledge of any optimization tools/software (like PLEXOS, PROMOD, GAMS, Aurora, etc.) • Strong oral and written communication skills,

• Willingness to learn and expand domain knowledge

• Exposure to handling customers and pre-sales team.

• Able to operate without supervision, identify opportunities, act on initiative

• Strong organizational skills with ability to handle various tasks; attention to detail

• Strong quantitative and analytical Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps, JIRA, PowerPoint, Excel etc.


Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or engineering related discipline

• Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience
