Vice President - Business Development & Licensing


Key Responsibilities Shall Include:


- Represent the Company in identifying, negotiating, securing and managing third party development and supply activities to support the short and long-term growth of the organization.

- Screen and identify new opportunities that fit long and short term growth strategy/coordinate competitive intelligence initiatives.

- To identify and evaluate new potential licensing or development opportunities.

- To build, analyse and present detailed business plan and financial models in support of new product initiatives.

- To identify, screen and review portfolio of key generic companies.

- To support screening and evaluating generic and 505(b)(2) opportunities and negotiating product in license or acquisition.

- To provide support in reviewing products under P-IV challenge to identify potential candidates for authorized generics.

- To provide support in valuating and negotiating access to new opportunities.

- To provide support in performing portfolio or asset valuation for in-licensing or acquisition opportunities.

- To provide support in preparing business review presentations.

- To manage post contract activities and ad hoc requirements.

- To provide support in following up with post contract execution, day to day requests and communications.

- To manage successful transition to project managers (when applicable). To provide support in building business presentations for internal or external audience.

Business Pipeline Includes:


- Effervescent : OTC & Supplements - USA, EU, ANZ, ROW, LATAM, MENA, CIS

- Pharma Generics : EU, LATAM, ANZ, MENA, Asia

- Licensing & Development : 3 novel molecules, All patented entering phase 3

Novel Drugs: Unmet need:

1. Myopia Control

2. Preterm birth prevention

3. Covid 19 ARDS Progression adjunct management (Phase 3 completed)

Job Description: Vice President - BD & Licensing

Licensing and partnering for:

1. Liposomal amphotericin B vials (Own patent, platform liposomal technology)

2. Molnupiravir

3. 2 Deoxy D glucose

Qualifications And Education:


- Minimum of 15 years business development experience at a biotech and/or pharmaceutical company

- Ph.D., MD, MBA, JD or other advanced degree is preferred

- A successful, documented track record of leading and executing transactions with emphasis on pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical in-licensing, collaborations and strategic alliances is essential

- Financial, strategic and scientific insight

- Experience identifying, managing and successfully closing transactions. Has led and supported numerous, in-licensing, out-licensing, strategic collaboration and co-promotion transactions;

- Strong contract negotiation and financial modelling skills

- Significant knowledge in all aspects of business development, including conceptualization, negotiation, and contracting of licensing, financing, M&A transactions, as well as due diligence and screening capabilities.

- Strong analytical skills with advanced understanding of valuation and return on investment analysis in the pharmaceutical industry

- Experience driving complex strategy projects with diverse stakeholder groups

- Deep understanding of the drug discovery and development process and broad knowledge of the biopharmaceutical industry including historical transactions and significant alliances. Well networked with strong relationships across industry and academia.

- Ability to establish and maintain credibility with internal and external scientific and business experts.

- Well-developed internal partnering skills to interface and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.

- Results oriented with excellent analytical, strategic, business planning, and teamwork/collaboration skills.

- Demonstrated ability to influence and work successfully with varied audiences (Colleagues, senior leaders, biotechnology and pharmaceutical partners, financial institutions and customers)

- Decisive; comfortable with ambiguity around assessing new business opportunities.

- Willingness to travel up to 50% of time.

- Strong communication and leadership skills, including the ability to influence
