We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer with strong expertise inJAVA & Playwrightto design, develop, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of automation tools, programming, and testing best practices to ensure the highest quality for our web and API products.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement automated test frameworks usingPlaywrightfor UI and end-to-end testing. Develop and maintain automation scripts forREST API testingleveraging REST Assured, Postman, and related tools. Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines usingJenkinsandMaven . Create, organize, and execute automated test suites for functional, regression, and integration testing. Perform backend validations through advancedSQL queries , joins, and stored procedures. Work withTestNGfor test organization, data-driven testing, and parallel execution. Partner closely with developers and QA to ensure code quality, identify bugs early, and maintain project timelines.Required Skills & ProficiencyProgramming:Strong knowledge ofJava(OOP, Collections, Streams, Exception handling) Test Frameworks:TestNG(Annotations, Data providers, Parallel execution) Version Control:Git(Branching, Merging, Conflict resolution) API Testing:REST principles, HTTP methods, Authentication, JSON/XML UI Testing:DOM, CSS/XPath selectors, basic JavaScript Database:SQL queries, Joins, Stored procedures Tools:Playwright , REST Assured, Postman, JenkinsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 6+ years of experience in test automation, with at least 4+ years working hands-on withPlaywright . Solid understanding of CI/CD processes and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Nice to HaveFamiliarity with cloud-based testing environments.
