Role Summary:

The data analyst is responsible for organizing data from various sources related to products/services, market research or other external entities. Utilize technical expertise to ensure data is accurate and high-quality. Data is then analyzed, designed, and presented in a way that assists individuals, businesses, and organization make better decisions.

• Ethical Judgement - Recognizing the ethical implications of data usage, storage, and analysis, especially in terms of privacy and security
• Excellent communication and presentation skills - Clearly convey findings, both written and orally, to non-technical stakeholders. This includes creating reports and presentations that gives the insights from the data
• Problem Solving - Have a systematic and logical approach to problem-solving. Coming up with solutions to business problems using data-driven approaches
• Critical thinking - Ability to approach problems logically and make informed decisions based on the data
• Attention to Details - Ensuring accuracy in data analysis and recognizing anomalies or errors in data
• Team work - Collaborating with other departments or teams, understanding their needs, and providing them with relevant data insights

Responsibilities:

• Performing analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data and Identification of data quality issues across verticals using SQL/Python
• Remove corrupted data and fixing coding errors and related problems
• Maintenance of data models/marts with the correction logics behind a version control (Azure DevOps/GitHub)
• Working with programmers, engineers, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies
• Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends
• Develop, maintain and optimize Power BI dashboards for both internal and external stakeholders to enable decision making across various levels
• Another integral element is EDA or Exploratory Data Analysis Project. In such data analyst projects, the analyst needs to scrutinize data to recognize and identify patterns. Use data modeling techniques to summarize the overall features of data analysis

Essential Data Analyst Skills

A mix of technical, analytical, and soft skills to effectively analyze data and communicate their findings. Here are some essential skills:

• Data Cleaning and Preparation
• Very strong expertise in cleaning and preparing data for analysis. This includes removing errors, identifying outliers, and transforming data into a format that can be analyzed.
• Data Analysis and Exploration
• Ability to analyze data and explore it for insights. This includes using statistical methods to test hypotheses, identify trends, and make predictions.
• Statistical Analysis
• Understanding statistical tests and tools is crucial. Familiarity with measures or central tendencies, correlation, regression, and hypothesis testing can be fundamental.
• Database Management (Must-have)
• Ability to query databases using SQL is essential for extracting data
• Knowledge of database systems: MS SQL/ Postgres
• Creating Dashboards and Reports
• Create dashboards and reports that communicate insights to stakeholders using Power BI. Hands-on experience
• Data Visualization
• Using tools and libraries:
• Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn, or ggplot2 to represent data in a visual format that's easy to understand.
• Excel - Very strong expertise in MS Excel (Advanced Functions and Pivot Tables)
• Programming (Nice to have)
• Python: Libraries like pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn are essential for data manipulation and analysis
• Machine Learning
• Working knowledge of traditional ML algorithms (Supervised/Unsupervised) is nice to have

1. B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA in Computer Science or related field
2. Overall 3 yrs + years
3. Experience working as data analyst in product development companies
4. Expertise in SQL
5. Expertise in Power BI

7. Exposure to Python
8. Available to work from office in Hyderabad
9. Available to join within 30 days
