At Decimal, we are building the world's first personalized marketplace for skincare. With 100,000+ products online and 73% of shoppers feeling confused about what works for their skin, we're on a mission to simplify skincare decisions using science and data. Our app uses cutting-edge AI to provide dermatologist-level recommendations and personalized product matches.
We're backed by early adopters, dermatologists, and industry experts. Now, we're looking for a Founding Machine Learning Engineer to join our core team and build the backbone of our recommendation engine.
What You'll Do
- Own and build end-to-end ML pipelines: from data ingestion to production deployment.
- Develop skin-type classification models using image data and questionnaire inputs.
- Build and optimize recommendation algorithms for personalized product suggestions.
- Collaborate with dermatologists, product designers, and engineers to translate insights into features.
- Set up MLOps processes for experimentation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Influence product direction as a key founding team member.
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience in Machine Learning / Data Science (experience in startups a plus).
- Strong background in computer vision, recommendation systems, and deep learning.
- Proficient in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
- Experience with data pipelines, APIs, and deploying ML models in production.
- Entrepreneurial mindset — thrives in ambiguity, loves building from zero to one.
- Passion for healthtech, beauty, or consumer AI products is a big plus
