- This role involves ensuring compliance with tax regulations, optimizing tax efficiency, managing tax risks, and contributing to the company's financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance & Reporting:

- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all direct and indirect tax returns, including GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other applicable taxes.

- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant.

- Prepare and review tax provisions and deferred tax calculations for financial statements.

Tax Planning & Strategy:

- Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies in line with the company's financial goals.

- Identify opportunities for tax optimization and savings.

- Advise management on the tax implications of business decisions, including mergers, acquisitions, and new business ventures.

Audit & Assessment:

- Manage tax audits and assessments, liaising with tax authorities as necessary.

- Prepare and present documentation required during tax audits and assessments.

- Handle tax litigation and appeals in coordination with external consultants and legal teams.

Process Improvement:

- Implement and maintain tax-related internal controls and processes.

- Continuously assess and improve the company's tax reporting and compliance systems.

- Provide training and support to the finance team on tax-related matters.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, ensuring their growth and development.

- Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment on tax-related issues.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory. Additional qualifications.

Experience: 8+ years of experience in taxation.

Extensive experience in handling both direct and indirect taxes, including GST, Income Tax, and TDS.
