Responsible for buying products that are essential for our company's day-to-day operations. Need to review prices and quality and ensure optimal stock levels.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Research potential vendors
Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
Track orders and ensure timely delivery
Review quality of purchased products
Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
Knowledge about IT hardware & worked in IT industry
Skills and Experience:
BE/BTech in Computers, Electronics or related field
Relevant experience of 5-7 years
as a Purchasing Officer/ Agent/Executive or similar role in IT industryGood knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
Hands-on experience with purchasing software/ERP software
Understanding of supply chain procedures
Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
Negotiation skills
Decision-making ability and strong collaboration skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently, take initiative and handle concurrent tasks with appropriate priority
Ability to work under pressure, meet objectives and adhere to deadlines with minimal supervision
Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of Networking and Security concepts shall be a plus.
