Show more Show lessWe are looking for an experienced Database Architect with a strong background in Microsoft SQL Server and a proven track record in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading database architecture, ensuring high availability, optimizing performance, and supporting cloud migration initiatives.You will play a key role in defining the database strategy, establishing best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure data solutions that support business-critical applications.Key Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and maintain database architectures to support application development and data analytics needs.- Lead database design, data modeling, and schema optimization efforts for performance and scalability.- Oversee and implement database security, backup, and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and index management to maximize efficiency.- Develop, implement, and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and functions using T-SQL.- Administer and optimize SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).- Manage database migration and replication between environments, including on-premise to cloud transitions.- Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to integrate database components into application frameworks.- Evaluate and recommend emerging database technologies and architectures, including NoSQL and cloud-native databases.- Monitor and maintain database health using automation tools and proactive alerting.- Lead database capacity planning, scaling, and high-availability configurations (Always On, Clustering, Mirroring, etc.).- Maintain documentation of database configurations, processes, and security standards.Required Skills & Qualifications :- 10-12 years of experience in Database Architecture and Administration.- Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2016 or later).- Strong command of T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.- Hands-on experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).- Deep knowledge of SQL indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.- Experience with XML data handling and database automation scripts.- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or Cosmos DB.- Proven experience in cloud database platforms (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, or Google Cloud SQL).- Expertise in backup and disaster recovery strategies.- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Preferred Skills :- Experience with Power BI or other reporting/analytics tools.- Exposure to Data Warehousing and ETL pipelines.- Knowledge of DevOps CI/CD practices related to database deployments.- Understanding of data governance and security compliance standards (GDPR, ISO, etc.).- Familiarity with containerized databases (Docker/Kubernetes).
