Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced OBG Registrar to join our team at Spandana Hospital. The role requires a dedicated professional with a work experience of 4 to 6 years in the field. This is a mid-level, full-time position based in our headquarters in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will possess a robust set of skills in obstetric ultrasound, antenatal assessment, labor ward management, gynecological procedures, electronic health records, and postnatal care.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in performing obstetric ultrasounds to monitor the health and development of fetuses throughout pregnancy.
  • Strong experience in antenatal assessment to provide comprehensive prenatal care and evaluate maternal and fetal health.
  • Expertise in managing labor wards, ensuring the safety and care of mothers and newborns during labor and delivery.
  • Competence in performing gynecological procedures such as cervical screenings, biopsies, and minor surgeries.
  • Understanding of electronic health records to efficiently document, retrieve, and manage patient information.
  • Adept at providing postnatal care, supporting new mothers with recovery, and ensuring newborn health and wellness.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to offer comprehensive patient care.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and provide clear explanations and support.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough obstetric evaluations, including ultrasounds, to monitor fetal health and development.
  • Provide comprehensive antenatal care, addressing concerns and managing prenatal health risks.
  • Manage labor and delivery processes, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and infant.
  • Perform gynecological procedures, providing necessary treatment while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
  • Utilize electronic health records to accurately document and maintain patient medical histories and treatment plans.
  • Offer postnatal care, ensuring mothers receive optimal recovery support and newborns are developing healthily.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver patient-centered and high-quality care.
  • Educate patients and their families about health, wellness, and medical procedures relevant to obstetrics and gynecology.
