Job Description:

A ServiceNow developer is a software developer who designs, codes, and troubleshoots applications using the ServiceNow platform. They may also manage the platform and infrastructure, and perform tasks such as architectural changes, integrations, and new module implementation.


Responsibilities:

  • Implement core configuration user stories with minimal guidance.
  • User stories could cover service catalog, catalog items/record producers, knowledge bases/knowledge articles, notifications, assignment rules (using advanced work assignment), and Service Level Agreement (SLA) configurations and workflows.
  • Build ServiceNow Reports, dashboards, and homepages.
  • Set up data security via control rules and domain separation.
  • Implement integrations utilizing Integration Hub and relevant Spokes.
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience with any one or more of the following: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX, Angular, Bootstrap, Jelly Script.
  • Administer a ServiceNow instance, including group roles, permissions, business rules, workflows, UI pages, UI actions, and UI policies.
  • Execute unit testing to confirm user stories meet acceptance criteria as implemented.
  • Peer review of other developers’ user stories.
  • Provide technical documentation as required.
  • Develop, manage, and configure ServiceNow applications, modules, enhancements, product development, and some system administration tasks.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior developers on best practice approaches to implementing required functionality, involving technical leads as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Ability to build ServiceNow Reports, dashboards, and homepages.
  • Ability to set up data security via control rules and domain separation.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in ServiceNow configuration and development.
  • Minimum of 3 years supporting the implementation, administration, configuration, and/or development of the ServiceNow tool.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Energetic self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and commitment to quality.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting deadlines.
  • Effective organization, collaboration, planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
