Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Hardware Design Engineer to help us design and develop the next generation of products. As a Hardware Design Engineer, He/She will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of our products. He/She will also be responsible for ensuring that our products meet all safety and quality standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with design and engineering teams to determine hardware requirements.
  • Designing and developing components such as printed circuit boards (PCB), processors, memory modules, and network components.
  • Innovate and develop hardware implementations in varied environments
  • Collaborating with software engineers to ensure software compatibility and integration with the hardware components.
  • Testing hardware prototypes and analyzing and interpreting performance data.
  • Generating analytic and performance reports for presentation and revision.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing errors and suggesting suitable repairs or modifications.
  • Overseeing the manufacturing process of electrical components to ensure they meet the design specifications.
  • Implementing maintenance, repairs, and modifications to existing components.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in computer technology and design trends.
  • Document processes, policies, and procedures

 

Qualifications & Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics/ETC/ECE engineering, or similar.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience as a hardware design engineer or similar.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Cadence or similar.
  • Proficiency in simulation software such as MATLAB, Simulink and LTspice.
  • Good understanding of logic gates, MOSFETs, microcontrollers (16bit/32bit)
  • Good understanding of various communication protocols like USART, SPI, CAN, TCP/IP, UDP & I2C.
  • Good understanding of communication interfaces such as ethernet, RS422, RS232 & RS485.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong computer soft skills.
  • The ability to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology and design.
