Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Hospital Receptionist to join our team at Chennai Urology And Robotics Institute. This is a Full-Time, Junior-level position based in Chennai, requiring 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and the capability to manage various administrative tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, fostering a welcoming and professional atmosphere. (Mandatory skill)
  • Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) Systems to accurately enter and maintain patient information.
  • Experience with Appointment Scheduling Software to efficiently coordinate patient appointments and manage calendars.
  • Knowledge of Patient Management Software to assist in the seamless organization and maintenance of patient records.
  • Familiarity with Billing and Coding practices to support accurate and timely processing of patient charges and reimbursements.
  • Understanding of HIPAA Compliance to ensure patient confidentiality and the secure handling of sensitive information.
  • Capability to operate multiline phone systems, ensuring prompt and courteous communication with patients and staff.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, for efficient administrative support tasks.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors upon arrival, providing directions and addressing inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate data entry and verification of personal information.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, coordinating with healthcare staff to ensure optimal time management.
  • Handle phone calls with professionalism, directing calls to the appropriate departments and taking messages as needed.
  • Maintain and update patient records accurately, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and legal standards.
  • Assist in billing processes, verifying insurance information, and processing payments as needed.
  • Ensure the reception area remains tidy and organized to provide a welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
  • Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth communication and enhance patient care experience.
