Position Overview:
We are looking for a Bookkeeping & Accounting Specialist to support our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience with UK accounting practices and will assist in managing financial operations and reporting for partner companies in the residential, construction, and M&E sectors.
Role Responsibilities - What you’ll be doing:
- Assist in managing day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP.
- Help monitor cash flow and assist in forecasting activities.
- Ensure adherence to UK tax regulations by preparing tax reports and assisting with tax planning.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Conduct basic financial analysis to support business decisions and provide recommendations.
- Collaborate with the Finance Director and Senior Finance Controller to develop and refine financial strategies.
Requirements - What we’re looking for:
- 1–3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, with UK experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and basic tax regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a growing finance team.
- Part-qualified or pursuing a qualification CIMA, CFA, ACA, CAIA, ACCA, or AAT (Preferred)
Work Schedule
As the client is UK-based, you will be required to work in UK daytime:
- Monday to Friday
- 13:30 - 22:30 IST (08:00 am - 17:00 GMT)
