OverviewWe are looking for a dedicated Manual Test Engineer with 2–3 years of strong hands-onexperience in functional testing. The ideal candidate should have solid testing fundamentals,good understanding of Agile development practices, and excellent skills in test case writing anddefect reporting. Experience with tools like Testsigma, JIRA, and basic exposure to automation(Cypress) is a plus. A Civil Engineering background will also be an advantage due to the natureof our domain.Key Responsibilities1. Requirement Understanding & Test Planning• Analyze user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements to derive clear test scenarios.• Participate in requirement walkthroughs, sprint ceremonies, and clarifications with Product and Engineering teams.• Identify test coverage, dependencies, and potential risk areas during planning.2. Manual Test Design & Execution• Create detailed, structured, and reusable test cases for new features and enhancements.• Perform thorough functional, UI/UX, integration, smoke, sanity, and regression testing.• Ensure high-quality validation across web and/or mobile applications (as applicable).• Maintain and regularly update regression suites based on product changes.3. Defect Identification & Reporting• Log defects with precise reproduction steps, screenshots, impact analysis, and environment details.• Retest defect fixes and update the status clearly in tracking tools.• Collaborate closely with developers to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolution.4. Agile Collaboration• Work as part of a Scrum team and actively contribute during sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews,and retrospectives.• Provide accurate test effort estimates and highlight potential blockers early.• Align testing activities with sprint goals and release timelines.5. Documentation & Quality Assurance• Maintain test documentation such as test cases, test results, regression suites, and checklists.• Recommend improvements in test processes, test coverage, and product workflows.• Ensure consistent adherence to QA standards and best practices.Required Skills & Experience• 2–3 years of proven experience in manual testing.• Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, test design techniques, and QA methodologies.• Hands-on experience in test case creation, execution, and professional bug reporting.• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum processes.• Experience using JIRA, Testsigma, or similar test management/issue tracking tools.• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving approach.• Good communication skills for clear articulation of issues and discussions with the Product/Dev teams.Good-to-Have (Not Mandatory)• Basic exposure to automation concepts or tools like Cypress.• Familiarity with low-code/no-code automation tools such as Testsigma.• Background in Civil Engineering (helpful for understanding construction-tech workflows).
