Position Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled MSSQL Database Administrator with 5- 6 years of hands-on experience in database administration and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL Server, AWS, and Azure, with expertise in clustering, high availability, and cloud-based deployments. This role involves maintaining, optimizing, and securing our database environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.Key Responsibilities :- Install, configure, and maintain production and development SQL databases, including backups, recovery, patching, and upgrades.- Design, implement, and manage high-availability and clustering solutions (Always On, mirroring, log shipping, replication).- Manage and optimize Azure SQL Database and AWS RDS instances, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.- Oversee cloud infrastructure setup and integration across AWS and Azure, including networking, security, and cost management.- Plan and execute database migrations to and from on-premises and cloud environments.- Conduct performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization for critical applications.- Collaborate with development teams on data modeling, schema design, and query optimization.- Monitor database health, storage utilization, and capacity planning.- Participate in on-call support rotations, including evening and weekend coverage when required.- Maintain comprehensive documentation and operational procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications : - 5- 6 years of experience as an SQL Database Administrator in enterprise environments.- Strong hands-on experience in SQL Server administration, clustering, replication, and Always On configurations.- Proven experience with AWS (RDS, EC2, S3) and Azure (SQL Database, Managed Instance, Data Sync).- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security best practices.- Strong knowledge of performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.- Experience with database migration and disaster recovery planning.- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
