Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Ruby on Rails to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, a mentor, and a team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will work on complex, scalable solutions, ensuring that our platform delivers a seamless experience for our global users.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performing web applications using Ruby on Rails.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code adhering to SOLID principles and design patterns.
  • Leverage TDD (Test-Driven Development) practices to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Optimize application performance and scalability, including the integration of Elasticsearch and queue-based solutions.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
  • Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) to design efficient schemas and queries.
  • Manage infrastructure on AWS, ensuring reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Mentor junior developers and actively contribute to team knowledge sharing.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and Ruby.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, with experience in front-end libraries/frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
  • Strong understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and familiarity with Elasticsearch.
  • Deep knowledge of SOLID principles, design patterns, and scalable architecture.
  • Experience with TDD, writing unit tests, and integration tests.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda, RDS).
  • Familiarity with queue systems (e.g., Sidekiq, RabbitMQ, SQS).
  • Proven experience in building and scaling microservices.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and collaborative tools.
