About the Role:

- We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Manager - Taxation & Accounting to oversee all accounting, compliance, and tax-related functions.

- The ideal candidate will bring 9+ years of experience, strong technical expertise in Indian and international taxation, and proven leadership in managing finance teams.

- This role involves direct client engagement, advisory responsibilities, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review management reports, financial statements, and tax returns for clients including individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts, and superannuation funds.

- Prepare and review Business Activity Statements (BAS) and ensure timely compliance.

- Manage complex tax matters such as GST, CGT, FBT, and Division 7A compliance.

- Deliver business advisory services, including management accounting, board reporting, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and succession planning.

- Identify tax issues and opportunities, provide actionable strategies, and ensure continuous improvement year-on-year.

- Conduct tax research, interpret legislation, and form well-supported opinions on technical issues.

- Mentor, guide, and manage junior accountants to deliver accurate and compliant outcomes.

- Oversee assignments independently and ensure high-level review for accuracy and compliance.

- Build strong client relationships by delivering high-quality service and strategic insights.

- Groom resources, coach employees, and actively contribute to team development and firm growth.

- Work with Australian clients and manage end-to-end service delivery for international compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (mandatory).

- Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, or CMA (highly desirable).

- 9+ years of relevant experience in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting.

- Hands-on experience with GST, CGT, FBT, Division 7A, and business compliance matters.

- Strong expertise in financial statement preparation, tax return filing, and management reporting.

- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

- Strong interpersonal skills to work directly with clients and cross-functional teams.

- High degree of accuracy, analytical ability, and attention to detail.

- Experience in team management, mentoring, and training.

- Familiarity with Xero and Xero practice tools (desirable but not mandatory).

- Proven ability to handle multiple assignments and adapt to diverse client requirements.

- Proactive problem-solver with sound judgment and ability to take initiative.

- Experience managing a team for Australian clients (preferred).
