Position: Credit Servicing Associate

Experience: 3-6 years


Role Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Credit Servicing Associate to join our clients team in Mumbai. This role involves the operational management of various aspects of credit servicing and administration, including updates of lending limits and structures, monthly reporting of expired loans, and bi-monthly reporting of arrears. The successful candidate will input and prepare IFRS09 and IRB data into the risk reporting engine and will need to review and forecast the implications of movements within these processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and capture arrears, excess, and recoveries for lending transactions in the credit servicing source systems.
  • Manage forbearance, including monitoring, reporting, and presenting at forums.
  • Understand and identify default triggers.
  • Execute operational processes around capturing expected credit loss (ECL) and staging allocations.
  • Proactively forecast arrears and highlight high-risk loans.
  • Produce reports as required for all management levels within the bank.
  • Chair and minute forums.
  • Capture and input credit sanctions and key credit treatments.
  • Enhance in-house systems and output reporting proactively.
  • Manage aspects of monthly and daily reporting cycles.
  • Handle queries related to credit issues.
  • Oversee deal activity and ongoing structure maintenance based on credit structures and sanctioned minutes.
  • Write and maintain procedure manuals related to credit servicing processes.


Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of experience in the lending business, particularly in operations managing credit reporting and transaction management.
  • Strong understanding of credit minutes is preferred.
  • Proficiency in making reports in Excel, especially related to arrears, defaults, recoveries, and credit sanctions.
  • Knowledge of IFRS9 and expected credit loss (ECL) is an added advantage.
