Community & Engagement Lead

Who we are

Verona is an authenticated matchmaking community designed exclusively for the modern, global Indian. We're on a mission to foster fulfilling partnerships that last lifetimes. In a country where dating app disillusionment abounds, Verona makes the matchmaking process delightful-and effective.

Verona was founded by two serial entrepreneurs Mr. Poshak Agrawal and Mr. Rahul Subramaniam, and backed by some of the biggest names in global technology, such as Mr. Michael Novogratz (ex-Fortress Investment Group, CEO of Galaxy Group Investments) & Mr. Rishi Jaitly (ex-Twitter CEO for Asia, Middle East, and Africa).

Security and Science make the basis of Verona where before matchmaking there will be Fintech-grade authentication to ensure fraud detection. Through a deep appreciation for the science of compatibility, with Verona, we will be using AI for matchmaking based on an individual's core & shared values.

The Community & Engagement Lead will be responsible for developing strategic engagement programs, planning diverse events tailored to community needs, and overseeing content creation that supports community interaction and event promotion. This role focuses on strategic planning and high-level management rather than direct event execution.

Location - Gurgaon

Key skills:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Strong community management and engagement experience

- Ability to craft and execute unique value propositions for Verona members & engage with members in online and offline communities

- A passion for innovation and creativity, with a keen eye for emerging trends and opportunities in the market.

Education and Experience-

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.

- 5+ years of experience in community management or event planning, with a strong background in strategic planning and execution.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement community engagement programs and event strategies.

- Proficient in using digital tools and platforms for community management and event planning.

- Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of leading multiple initiatives simultaneously.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.

- Creative and analytical thinker with a data-driven approach to problem-solving and strategy development.

- Experience in a tech-driven environment is preferred, with a passion for building meaningful community connections.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Strategy and Engagement:

- Design and implement a community engagement strategy to enhance interactions within both specific interest groups and the general user base.

- Monitor and evaluate community health, providing direction and adjustments to maintain active and vibrant community interactions.

- Establish and maintain community guidelines and policies to ensure a safe and engaging online environment for all members.

- Develop engagement programs that encourage participation, interaction, and a sense of community among users.

Content Strategy and Development

- Collaborate with the marketing team for creation of engaging content that drives participation and continuous engagement

- Develop content focused on relationship advice, dating guidance, and coaching for sustaining healthy relationships, tailored to resonate with Verona's user base.

Analytics and Reporting:

- Develop and report on community and event metrics, providing insights into engagement trends, member satisfaction, and areas for improvement.

Event Planning and Strategic Management:

- Strategize and plan a variety of events, including online events and social gatherings tailored to the interests and needs of Verona's users.

- Oversee the logistical planning of events, including venue selection, vendor contracts, and promotional activities, while coordinating for execution.
