Description :Job Title :Manager, Engineering.Key Responsibilities :- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of C++ Software Developers, Qas, Business Analyst.- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture and has accountability for their performance and results.- Sets performance objectives, conducts performance reviews and recommends pay actions.- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects.- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.- Defines a vision for the team in line with the department strategy and operational challenges and translates it into a concrete action plan.- Works with a high level of autonomy, with some guidance from Senior Manager.- Implement and promote Agile methodologies within the team.- Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.- Work closely with Product Managers to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and align development efforts with business goals.- Provide technical direction and support to the development team.- Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment are followed.- Ensure the delivery of high-quality software by implementing robust testing and code review processes.- Encourage continuous learning and improvement within the team.- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.Technical Excellence :- Timely manage the investigation and resolution of production support issues and customer inquiries.- Collaborate with other software development, architecture, solutions, and QA teams to ensure that software systems are designed for testability, stability, scalability, and performance.- Proficiency in C++ with DB experience in a distributed environment.- Good to have Cloud knowledge and exposure to other tech stack like Java, Python etc.- Strong understanding and experience with Agile methodologies (e.g, Scrum, Kanban).- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team.- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.- Experience working closely with Product Managers and other cross-functional teams.Communication :- Ensure timely and appropriate communication to team members regarding company/organization information.- Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including Product Managers, designers, and other development teams.Diversity & Inclusion :- Amadeus aspires to be a leader in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the tech industry, enabling every employee to reach their full potential by fostering a culture of belonging and fair treatment, attracting the best talent from all backgrounds, and as a role model for an inclusive employee experience.- Amadeus is an equal opportunity employer.- All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation,?age, beliefs, disability or any other characteristics protected by law.
