As we expand our Indian operations, we are building a strong local team that mirrors the professionalism and care of our UK counterparts.About the RoleWe are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing team in Chennai. In this role, you will be part of our Chennai-based outsourcing team, working closely with our UK counterparts to deliver high-quality financial support. You'll handle daily bookkeeping functions, support monthly reporting, and communicate with UK clients—all while being trained on UK accounting systems and expectations.Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports - Perform daily bookkeeping: bank reconciliations, A/P, A/R, and payroll support - Record journal entries and ensure compliance with UK accounting standards - Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings - Use cloud-based accounting software like Xero and QuickBooks - Liaise with UK clients and accountants in a timely and professional manner - Maintain organized digital records and uphold internal process standardsWhat We're Looking For- 1–3 years of experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and journal entries - Hands-on experience with accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks preferred) - Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written) - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - CA Inter / ACCA / CPA certification is a plusWhat We Offer- Opportunity to grow with an international accounting firm - UK-focused training and mentorship - Supportive and collaborative team culture - Career development and upskilling opportunities - Competitive salary based on experienceThink you're the right fit?
