Job Summary:

The Fashion Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and creating innovative designs that align with the brand's aesthetic and market trends. This role requires a keen sense of style, creativity, and the ability to translate concepts into wearable garments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio showcasing their design expertise and an understanding of fabric, color, and texture.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Research fashion trends and forecast future styles to inform design decisions.
  2. Create original designs for apparel, including sketches, technical drawings, and detailed specifications.
  3. Select fabrics, colors, patterns, and textures for each design.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, production, and merchandising to ensure cohesive product development.
  5. Oversee the fitting process of garments to ensure proper fit and quality standards.
  6. Present collections to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into final designs.
  7. Stay updated on industry developments and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
  8. Manage timelines effectively to meet production deadlines.
  9. Willingness to work 6 days a week


Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 3-8 years of experience in fashion design or a similar role.
  3. A strong portfolio demonstrating design skills and creativity.
  4. Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
  5. Solid understanding of garment construction techniques and textile properties.
  6. Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly.
  7. Male candidates preferred


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA or advanced degree in Fashion Management is a plus.
  2. Experience with sustainable fashion practices is an advantage.
  3. A background in pattern-making or sewing is beneficial.
