About the role As a AI ML Technical Lead  with  Insight  , we are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML led engineer to join our team and contribute to lead, design, development, and deployment of artificial intelligence solutions. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of AI/ML projects, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and business impact. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, deep learning, NLP and computer vision and data science, with the ability to build and integrate AI models that solve complex business problems.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead and mentor a team of AI/ML engineers, ensuring best practices in model development and deployment. 

• Design, develop, and implement scalable machine learning models and AI-driven solutions. 

• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to integrate AI models into applications. 

• Optimize and fine-tune machine learning models for performance, accuracy, and efficiency. 

• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and incorporate them into the team’s workflow. 

• Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and improve development processes. 

• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and ensure alignment with business objectives. 

• Work with cloud-based and on-premises AI/ML platforms to deploy and monitor models in production. 

• Ensure compliance with ethical AI principles, data privacy regulations, and best security practices. 

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of AI models into existing systems and workflows. 

• Document AI processes, model architectures, and development practices to ensure knowledge sharing and scalability. 
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior AI engineers and data scientists. 

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field. 

• 8 to 12 years of experience in AI, machine learning, or data science roles, with a strong portfolio of successfully deployed AI solutions along with at least 2 years in leading the AI/ML team. 

• Strong proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, Py-Torch, Py-Spark and other ML frameworks. 

• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures (e.g., CNNs, RNNs, GANs), NLP, Computer Vision, Generative AI and AI model development. 

• Knowledge on MLOps practices and tools for model deployment, monitoring, and scaling. 

• Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and working with large datasets in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure). 

• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Power BI or Tableau) and experience in interpreting and communicating model results. 

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into AI solutions. 

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development practices. 

Other Skills: 

• Experience with reinforcement learning, and Agentic AI will add advantage. 

• Knowledge of ethical AI practices and considerations in AI model development. 
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for AI model deployment.
