Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as an Accountant with expertise in US accounting and taxation. This position is ideal for a CA Inter or CA Finalist looking to expand their career in US & UK accounting.


Responsibilities:


  1. Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  2. Assist in the preparation of corporate tax returns (federal and state) and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  3. Conduct research on complex accounting and tax issues and provide recommendations to management.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data.
  5. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
  6. Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  7. Provide support during audits and respond to inquiries from auditors and regulatory authorities.
  8. Stay updated on changes in US accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize financial processes.
  9. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.


Qualifications:


  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  2. Pursuing CA qualification with either CA Inter or CA Finalist status.
  3. Strong understanding of US GAAP and taxation principles.
  4. Prior experience working in a similar role, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate environment.
  5. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  7. Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.
  8. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  9. CPA certification or eligibility is a plus.
