Marine Technical Sales Specialist

Location: India

Employment Type: Full-time

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Technical Sales Account Manager with a solid understanding of international maritime legislations and Classification societies. The candidate will be responsible for working with stakeholders in the maritime industry to ensure compliance with international maritime conventions and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and stay up-to-date with international maritime conventions and regulations.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets within the maritime industry.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by analyzing market trends and customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with ship owners, shipyards, and other stakeholders in the maritime industry.
  • Provide technical advice and support to clients to ensure compliance with regulations and requirements.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage the sales process from initial contact to post-sales support.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation to support sales activities and client requirements.
  • Ensure all sales and technical documentation is complete and up-to-date.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and processes to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide technical support and resolve customer issues.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to promote the company’s products and services.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field. Sailors with an engineering background are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of international maritime legislation and Classification societies.
  • Understanding of how maritime conventions are made and implemented.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders and collaborate with others effectively.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in the maritime industry is preferred.

  • Starting to mid-experience level.
  • Sales and business development
