SQL Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Database Administrator with over 5 years of experience in SQL Server. The ideal candidate should be ready to work in 24x7 shifts to ensure the high availability and performance of our database systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances.
- Monitor system's health and performance to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
- Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
- Design, implement, and maintain database systems, ensuring the integrity, security, and availability of the databases.
- Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
-Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
Required Qualifications :
- 5+ years of experience with SQL Server database administration.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models.
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
- Experience with Windows server, including Active Directory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in 24x7 shifts.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with cloud services such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Knowledge of PowerShell and other scripting languages.
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
- Knowledge of ITIL and change management processes.
Education :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Working Conditions :
- Willingness to work in a 24x7 environment, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
