Role Overview :

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and grow a high-performing backend engineering team focused on scalable C++/Unix systems. You will ensure delivery of high-quality software, facilitate collaboration across global teams, and drive engineering best practices.


Key Responsibilities :

- Lead recruitment, development, and retention of top engineering talent within the team.

- Drive project planning, resource allocation, and ensure timely delivery of backend systems.

- Establish and enforce software engineering best practices, coding standards, and architecture guidelines.

- Oversee system performance, scalability, security, and quality assurance efforts.

- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture with clear goals and career development plans.

- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams on strategic initiatives and technical integration.

- Manage engineering workflows, sprint planning, and resolve impediments to maintain velocity.

- Monitor key engineering metrics and implement continuous improvement plans.

- Facilitate technical mentorship and leadership development within the team.

- Lead incident management processes and ensure post-mortem learning cycles.


Requirements :

- 12+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

- Strong expertise in C++ development, multithreading, and Linux-based systems.

- Proven ability to lead distributed and remote teams.

- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and quality assurance practices.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

- Knowledge of networking protocols and distributed systems.

- Familiarity with modern C++ standards (C++20), Boost, STL libraries.

- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or container orchestration platforms.

- Exposure to Java (Spring Boot) and Redis technologies.
