ob Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation Tester with a strong background in Playwright to join our dynamic QA team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test suites to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will play a crucial role in driving the adoption of automation best practices and mentoring junior team members. -

Responsibilities :

Test Automation Strategy & Design :

- Design and develop robust and scalable automated test frameworks using Playwright.

- Define and implement test automation strategies and best practices.

- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and design effective test plans.

- Identify and recommend appropriate testing tools and technologies.

Test Script Development & Execution :

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and end-to-end testing using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).

- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.

- Develop and maintain test data and test environments.

- Perform regression testing and ensure timely identification and resolution of defects.

CI/CD Integration :

- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous testing.

- Configure and maintain test environments for automated testing.

- Work with DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of automation processes.

Defect Management & Reporting :

- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems.

- Provide detailed and accurate test reports and metrics.

- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve defects.

Team Collaboration & Mentorship :

- Mentor and guide junior automation testers.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing trends and technologies.

Performance Testing Basics :

- Have a basic understanding of performance testing and be able to integrate performance testing tools into the automated testing framework.

Required Technical Skills :

Test Automation :

- Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and tools.

- Strong proficiency in Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).

- Experience with UI, API, and end-to-end testing.

- Knowledge of test data management and test environment setup.

Programming & Scripting :

- Strong programming skills in TypeScript or JavaScript.

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Familiarity with Node.js and npm.

CI/CD :

- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).

- Knowledge of Docker and containerization.

Testing Methodologies :

- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.

- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

- Knowledge of different testing types (e.g., functional, regression, integration).

API Testing :

- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured).

- Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.

Defect Tracking :

- Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).

Database Basics :

- Basic understanding of SQL and database concepts.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- 5-7 years of experience in software test automation.

- Proven experience with Playwright.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality. -

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB).
