Description:Role Purpose:Provide strategic leadership to the sales organization by developing and executing growth-oriented sales strategies, building high-value client relationships, expanding market presence, and driving consistent revenue performance.Key Roles & Responsibilities:- Define and execute sales strategies, tactics, and action plans to achieve annual revenue targets- Lead, mentor, and supervise sales managers and sales teams to ensure effective execution of sales programs- Identify and acquire major clients and build long-term strategic relationships- Research and develop new markets, territories, and growth opportunities- Monitor market trends, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics to refine sales approaches- Track sales performance, KPIs, and forecasts to ensure target achievement- Support team members in overcoming sales challenges and improving performance- Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and industry events- Collaborate with marketing, product, and leadership teams to align go-to-market strategies- Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and quarterly performance reviewsKey Result Areas (KRAs):- Achievement of annual and quarterly revenue and growth targets- Expansion of customer base and entry into new markets and territories- Sales pipeline strength, accuracy of forecasting, and conversion rates- Performance and capability development of sales managers and teams- Customer relationship strength and retention of key accounts- Budget adherence and cost-effective sales Master's/Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related fieldExperience Requirements:- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory sales role- Experience in B2B sales, enterprise accounts, or solution-based selling preferredSkill Sets & Competencies:- Strong sales strategy, planning, and execution capabilities- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and people management skills- Strong relationship-building and customer management expertise- Data-driven approach to sales performance and decision-making- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills- Ability to analyze sales data and translate insights into action plans- Strong negotiation, closing, and account expansion skills- Time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities- High level of autonomy, ownership, and accountability- Creative problem-solving and resilience in fast-paced environments (ref:iimjobs.com)
