We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director, Software Engineering to lead our team in Hyderabad, India. This hands-on role with expertise in architecture and preferably in .NET technologies, combined with a strong track record in scaling engineering teams within high-growth companies. As a key leader, you will drive technical excellence and innovation, ensuring our software solutions meet the evolving needs of our business and customers.


Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the software engineering team, with a focus on the .NET framework and related technologies.

• Engage in hands-on development and architecture design, ensuring high-quality software solutions.

• Drive the technical roadmap, including the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to support business growth.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement scalable and robust software applications.

• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

• Mentor and guide engineering managers and senior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

• Establish and enforce best practices for software engineering, including code quality, testing, and deployment.

• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Interface with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

• Monitor and improve team performance through metrics and continuous feedback.


Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

• 10+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on .NET technologies.

• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing software engineering teams.

• Proven experience in software architecture and design, with a deep understanding of design patterns and best practices.

• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in implementing them across teams.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in working with small, high-growth companies, with a track record of scaling engineering teams and processes.

• Proficient in messaging technology, scalable message processing, and micro-service & API design.

• Experience with relational and No-SQL databases.
